Ensure All Aviators Reach Their Full Potential
Our district should be proud of our academic achievement and growth. Our 2024-25 FIVE STAR state rating places us in the Top 4% of Ohio districts! We must continue to focus on academic performance and growth for ALL AVIATORS. Our strategic plan guides our district with our mission statement, vision and values. This includes measurable growth to ensure all students reach their full potential.
Not every child can be measured by test scores. Sycamore Schools must continue to create an environment that nourishes and fosters the entire child, including social and mental health supports. Our District has amazing teachers, educators and staff. Our community is proud of our diversity. We must continue to foster these, learn from it and expand upon it. This includes our staff and administration.
We must remain a destination district for all families. Strong schools mean strong communities.

Maintain Continued Financial Stability
Our community expects strong financial leadership and I have delivered. For the last 10 years, I have worked with our team to ensure that we keep our expenditures in line while maintaining academic programming. State funding remains a concern for our district. Our last operating levy was promised to last 5 years and has lasted 10. We will require an operating levy in the next couple of years, but first we must set and hold to financial parameters. I continue to ask the hard financial questions of our Administration, ensuring fiscal responsibility to our community. My professional background makes me the only current board member that incorporates financial acumen and responsibility from my professional career, these skills are vital to our Board and Community.

Experience Matters
Experience, knowledge, leadership, financial skillset and dedication are critical on our School Board. I am the candidate that does more than just promise these skills. I have delivered. I am the proven leader who has successfully helped guide our district through a critical 10 years. Together with our Administration, I helped lead our district through Covid, meeting the needs of our families with both in person and remote learning. I was the Board Liaison for the 2016 Operating Levy and the 2019 Capital Improvement Levy, the only current Board Member with levy planning and execution knowledge. Thanks to our supportive community, we passed our Master Facility Levy in 2019 and transformed our district into truly incredible learning spaces. I represented the Board on the Master Facility Implementation and Construction Team.
Diverse professional experiences are essential on our Board. I worked on developing Financial Parameters with our Administration to help guide our budget. I am the only current Board Member that has a corporate business background which includes strong financial skills; mentoring; talent acquisition, development and retention; global team leadership, training and development; negotiations; strong communication skills; and long-term financial planning.
Our district has over $500million in capital investment. Having the right person with the right background and right skills is critical to managing these assets. I am the most experienced and qualified candidate for Sycamore School Board.

District-Board-Community Synergy
We are One-Team. Together, we Take Flight for ALL Aviators and our community to succeed. The Board must expand our partnerships with the community, teachers, administration, and staff. Trust, transparency, communication and collaboration are critical and must be rebuilt. Together, we can build upon our strong foundation and reach a new potential, but Leadership starts with the Board.
Over the last couple of years, we have worked hard to expand our community partnerships, including new Business and Community Breakfasts as well as Ask Us Anything Sessions and increased social media postings. Communication and partnership are critical with our community, and we must continue to reach our entire community.
